New Mexico Environmental Department
AQS provides ongoing technical support to the State of New Mexico’s Hazardous Waste Bureau. This contract involves the direct support of the regulatory agency, which requires AQS personnel to have an extensive understanding of RCRA, DOE, DOD, and state regulations. Contract activities include permit reviews, technical consulting, and legal support. Other contract requirements include technical expertise in human health & ecological risk assessment, open detonation transport modeling, groundwater monitoring, and analytical chemistry.

US Army Dugway Proving Ground

Since 2004, AQS has provided extensive technical support for Dugway's environmental compliance, restoration and natural resources programs. We work closely with military and commercial customers to ensure ongoing compliance with all aspects of their Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Clean Air Act (CAA) permits. Our personnel safely manage hazardous waste resulting from industrial, testing, and laboratory activities. We also provide ongoing risk assessment and technical support for Dugway's restoration program.

McConnell Air Force Base
AQS provides all personnel, supervision, equipment and other services necessary to support the facility's hazardous materials and hazardous waste management programs. We manage hazardous waste from throughout the facility and prepare the necessary documentation for compliance with the Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA). For hazardous materials tracking, AQS personnel are proficient in, manage and train facility personnel to use the Air Force EESOH-MIS program.

US Army West Desert Test Center
As a subcontractor to Science and Technology Corporation (STC), AQS provides technical support to the Army's West Desert Test Center (WDTC). AQS Quality Management personnel help facility managers develop appropriate quality measures, recognize opportunities for improvement, and implement effective corrective measures. Under another task, AQS environmental personnel help facility personnel prepare Records of Environmental Consideration (RECs) and other required documents in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

RioTinto Kennecott Copper
AQS personnel have provided wetlands monitoring in support of Kennecott Utah Copper Wetlands Monitoring Plan for the Garfield Northend Wetlands. Project oversight has included the coordination of training, personnel, sampling equipment, and data review. The long-term monitoring effort for the wetlands includes the sample collection and preparation of various environmental media, soil classification, and macro-invertebrate taxonomy for the ongoing contaminant assessment of remediated and non-remediated ponds within the Garfield Northend Wetlands.
