Compliance & Permitting
AQS employs experts in all aspects of environmental compliance and restoration including RCRA, Superfund, Clean Water, Clean Air, Safe Drinking Water, and NEPA programs. We have an excellent track record for bringing regulators and stakeholders together. We help develop permits and plans that are clear and reasonable. Experienced consultants work with clients to develop documents, procedures and programs to ensure ongoing compliance. We also prepare classroom and online training programs designed to help employees and managers understand and follow applicable environmental requirements.
Risk Assessment
AQS can conduct large and small-scale assessments of human health and ecological risk under programs such as RCRA, Superfund, EPA’s Brownfield program, and individual state programs. Our experienced risk assessment team provides strong expertise in chemistry, biology, toxicology, health exposure assessment, and data analysis. We help determine risk-based remediation goals, conduct risk data analysis, and provide risk management support. We specialize in determining cost-effective alternatives for achieving cleanup goals and requirements.
Hazardous Waste Management
AQS has the expertise, personnel, and equipment to identify, containerize, sample, and properly manage all types of hazardous waste. Our experience includes analysis and management of traditional as well as non-traditional military and industrial materials such as chemical agents, explosives, and mixed radioactive wastes. We are effective at developing and implementing waste management systems to safely manage waste from generation to disposal.
Quality Assurance & Data Validation
AQS understands the many factors that affect environmental project quality and data usability. Before collecting samples, we attempt to bring the client, data user, and laboratory together to ensure that laboratory data is meaningful and relevant. Our sampling personnel understand the importance of, and the proper techniques for, collecting statistically representative environmental samples. Sample collection events are preceded by specific sampling plans to ensure safe and effective sampling.
